Weight Loss Options that beat liposuction

The dirty four letter word, diet, keeps coming to mind, when most people think of weight loss options. Probably one of the worse words in the dictionary to many overweight people.  As they search for the perfect diet, surgical procedure or weight loss website, that four letter word keeps coming back. Weight loss options must include a change of lifestyle, not just diet.  The ultimate weight loss option is adhering to a healthy lifestyle as the French do.  Eating less and enjoying more.

In the very famous book, "French Women Don't Get Fat" the author shows how to enjoy life and yes even enjoy chocolate.  Losing weight is not a prison sentence, but it does mean giving up the "offenders" as Mireille Guiliano explains in her book.  Mireille's book shows how to lose weight, by eating for pleasure not guilt. A weight loss program such as Jenny Craig or Weight Watchers.

There are many weight loss programs and Jenny Craig and Weight Watchers each have their celebrities that sponsor their programs.  Do you remember Marie Osmond and Valerie Bertineli?  How great they looked after the diet.  Weight loss programs have many programs also.  Both diet programs push their specialty foods on the participants.  Weight Watchers is the cheapest of the two programs.  The support groups and the meetings are one of the most important aspects of the programs.

Surgical Procedures

Let’s face it; this is a society where plastic surgery to improve one’s appearance is becoming more and more common. Many people consider the practicality of liposuction, lipodissolving, gastric bypass surgery or even products like The Lap Band and The Gastric Balloon.

Surgical weight loss is costly, and the recovery times differ for everyone. Tummy tucks are becoming common place for those who have lost weight and have loose skin. Liposuction is occurring more frequently, and new procedures are being developed frequently.

Body Wraps

Body wraps can be done in the comfort of your home with the use of a paste made from salt and clay usually.  Many do add in essential oils, but the basic wrap is very simple. It can be done in less than an hour.  The wraps are temporary and the person will need to do the body wrap again in 30 days or less.  There is nothing holistic or organic about using plastic wrap on the body though. If plastic harms the food you eat, what happens to placing that same plastic on your body?

Diet Plans

There are as many diet plans as there are stars in the sky and some are very good and some are not.  They all take will power and determination and following a basic outline of foods allowed.  Some of the favorites are the raw vegan diet, the Mediterranean diet, the Dr. Oz Staying Young and the Belly Fat Diets.  They all have the same premise in the end, limit fats, cut sugars and the white foods and substitute olive oil for bad oils.  It is not difficult to diet, but many will need a specified plan of action and a support group.  Will Dr. Oz's famous green smoothie make you thin? Yes it will if you follow his whole plan not just drink the shakes.

It’s Not A Diet, It’s A Lifestyle Change

Losing weight and the secret of longevity is all in one main principle.  The principal of lifestyle change.  You cannot continue to eat bad and live.  Do you want to die young or do you want to live a well balanced life for your grandchildren to see?  A healthy lifestyle will include cutting the toxins in your home, eating healthy and exercise.  It takes the whole equation not just part.  Good eating habits will include cutting out processed foods and boxed cereals.  Eating organic and healthy will give you a brighter tomorrow and a healthier life plan.

Bad Liposuction alternatives with natural lipo alternatives

The truth is there are more good results from liposuction than bad, but when bad stories surface they are usually very damaging to the cosmetic industry.  People or patients always remember bad.  It has been said that a happy customer tells one other person, but an unhappy customer will tell 9.  So a smart doctor will always strive to have happy patients. Many of the bad liposuction results are totally preventable with the person simply being more careful.

Many but not all of the bad results seen on TV are a result of trying to save money and going with a cheaper doctor or clinic that cuts corners.  Sometimes the patient waits too long to go back and report problems to the doctor.  Some of the main things that cause a patient to be unhappy are the area not being smoothed and a "lumpy" look instead.  These clumpy looking areas may cause the patient to look heavier instead of thinner and thus horrifying the patient.

Skimping on the cost of a surgeon is one of the main reasons behind bad liposuction results. In most places, the best of the best are also the most expensive. When hiring a liposuction surgeon, you want to look for and be willing to pay for the best available. Using an inexperienced or cheaper surgeon means running the risk of bad results.

Some of the more serious bad results seen are: nerve problems, tissue perforations, severe and prolonged edema, constant pain, blotchy skin, sarcomas, third spacing, fluid shifts, thrombo-embolisms (blood clots mainly in the legs), scaring, infections and cardiac problems.  When patients fail to divulge the full list of medications, drugs and supplements they are taking to their surgeon, the surgeon cannot take action to prevent bad results.

Some of the other bad results from liposuction procedures will include accidental organ perforations.  Some doctors will accidentally damage internal organs and thus causing the patient to have major complications and an emergency situation.  Other things that can go wrong are when the doctor fails to allow for proper drainage after the procedure.  By not allowing proper drainage, the patient can become infected and very ill. Where is all the pus and medications going if there is no drainage?

Normal drainage takes around three days.  If the patient has blood in their urine or blood being drained from their incisions, it is time to see a doctor right away.  You will see hundreds of horror stories on the internet and stories of bad doctors that were used, but most of these stories are surrounded by bad choices being made by patients also.  Choosing a doctor with a long line of patients and referrals will assure you of having less complications and better treatment before and after the procedure.  Although there are ways to prevent bad results, the best alternative just may be to avoid liposuction altogether.

Avoid Common Liposuction Fees with liposuction alternatives

Why pay costly fees for liposuction? Avoid liposuction by exploring alternatives to liposuction.

Explore liposuction alternatives.

Liposuction has many hidden costs and fees, and many people only consider the cost of the procedure itself when they begin to try and work it into their budget. Generally liposuction will cost between $2000 to $7500 depending on how many regions or areas are worked on.  This cost does not include any unexpected complications that may arise after the procedure is finished.  These things may include: infections, blood clots, cardiac arrest and perforated organs.

Never allow money to be your main consideration when choosing a physician and clinic.  A lower priced doctor may just cost you more when unforeseen complications arise.  If you do not have enough money, save more!!  There are however many extra costs that the patient should consider before contemplating this sometimes dangerous procedure, such as:  There is also a number of reasons for you to consider lipo alternatives.

* Where you live. Your location is one of the main reasons that the cost will be higher.  UK Liposuction fees are typically higher than in America.  Some of the larger cities cost more than small towns, often because the higher quality physicians are located in large cities. Sometimes, less is not more, and cheap is almost never good when you talk about surgery. After all, you get what you pay for!

* Where you are having the procedure. While some patients may be able to utilize a doctor’s office or exam room, which would be cheaper, most will require an outpatient stay at the hospital. The physician you choose will tell you where you will be having the procedure and sometimes a large hospital will cost more, especially in the areas of post- and pre-operative care, medicines, and life-saving intervention devices.

* Who is performing the surgery? Again the surgeon is the reason for the highest part of your bill.  It is always best to opt for the most experienced surgeon who is board certified and has the most experience in liposuction procedures.  Never fall prey to budget deals.

* What medications become necessary for your recovery? While these costs are small relatively speaking, they are still a factor for some people. Depending on your complications, the cost of the medications could be more.

* When the surgery is done. For some surgeons, the age of the patient affects the cost, since patients that fall within certain age brackets may see more complications than others. Most commonly, middle-aged patients fare the best, since they are developing age-related problems and benefit most in many cases, but older patients also are beginning to see the need for a renewal. This older generation does not tend to fare as well, either during surgery or after, and results may not be as genuine-looking. This means to do liposuction when you are young!!

* How often the surgery must be repeated. Liposuction is almost never a one-time cure-all. It is absolutely critical to maintain a healthy weight, diet, and exercise regularly in order to see maximum results for as long as possible. Two-thirds of all liposuction procedures are return customers.  At first the person swears to watch their diet and exercise more, but the pounds creep back faster than they thought possible.

Although, not all of these costs apply to everyone, this article will give you a pretty good ideal of the potential cost involved.  Before deciding to do surgery, contemplate the whole picture first and then decide.  You may find you are far better off exploring alternatives to liposuction rather than undergoing the cost, pain and other side affects.

A tummy tuck can be yours in just a few hours and you too can be younger looking and healthier than you ever thought possible.

What is a Tummy Tuck?

Tummy tuck is also known as abdominoplasty and it is major surgery.  The procedure requires general anesthesia and an incision is made below the panty line.  The tummy tuck takes from two to five hours depending on the amount of area to be worked on.  People who will be prime candidates for a tummy tuck are those who have lost a large amount of weight from liposuction, bariatric surgery and women after giving child birth. Older women are also prime candidates for tummy tucks with age related sagging skin that has lost its elasticity.
