The Difference Between Mesotherapy & Injection Lipolysis
Injection lipolysis can be both mesotherapy and Lipodissolve. The terms are interchangeable. Although they all have the same meanings: that of injections of amino acids, holistic compounds and medications, they are all very different. Mesotherapy is more painful than Lipodissolve, so a new no needle therapy was developed and called Aquaphoesis.
Aquaphoesis is a very low energy laser that is able to carry the medications into the tissue. There are no needles, no bruising and no pain. It is suggested that 15 sessions are necessary to complete the treatment or protocol instead of 10 sessions required for the regular mesotherapy though.
Lipodissolve is a newer version achieving rave reviews from many as to its effectiveness and ease, thus being the choice of many. One of these differences is the combination of ingredients that make up the inject-able solution. Injection lipolysis treatments all have at least one ingredient in common – phosphatidylcholine, or PPC. Often, other vitamins and minerals are used as well to encourage a quicker break down process of fat tissues. It is sometimes considered a good liposuction alternative.
Injection lipolysis is not injection lipolysis unless PPC is part of the injection treatments. Mesotherapy, on the other hand, has no guidelines pertaining to what ingredients must be present in the injection solution. Often times, each practitioner has his own combination of ingredients he/she favors, or that he/she customizes according to the patient’s goals and body.
Known Side Effects of Injection Lipolysis:
There has not been one single documented death from either in the US, but like many natural alternatives there are some side effects. Some of the known side effects are: tingling and soreness after the injections and depending on your threshold of pain, some pain medicine may be prescribed. Some of the minor side effects would be swelling, bruising, redness, burning sensation and tenderness.
With the no-needle mesotherapy or Aquaphoesis there will be no pain, no injections and no known side effects. Injection lipolysis does include Lipodissolve and with Lipodissolve there are fewer side effects noted due to the differences in the cocktail mixture used to dissolve the fat.
Currently the FDA has issued warnings to 6 spas that have made false claims about the effectiveness of Lipodissolve. Make sure to verify ll the factual information you are given before signing with any clinic or spa. Look for a board certified doctor with a long history of success and practice of this effective lipoalternative.
